Bella was born September 11, 2008. Bella was the companion of Brylie. When Brylie was little, she always wanted to have a kitty to call her own. Brylie’s parents saw an ad in the newspaper for free siamese kittens, and they decided to bring one home to four year-old Brylie. This is when Bella entered the family.
Bella was a burst of energy, sass, and love. She loved to steal ribbons, sneak bites of cheese, and snuggle close with loved ones. Her favorite past times were bird watching, sunbathing, and hiding toys under the couch for Brylie to dig out. Bella and Brylie also enjoyed playing hide-and-seek together.
Through the years, Bella was there for every single milestone in Brylie’s life from the time she was four years old. Kindergarten graduation, friendships, heartbreaks, school dances, graduations, and even her marriage. Bella was there to be by her side. When Brylie went off to college, Bella stayed at her home with “Memaw and Pops,” Brylie’s parents. She spent her days snuggled in their laps and adding laughter to the home.
When Brylie brought home the man that she would someday marry, Bella’s opinion was one that mattered to Brylie. Her sassy personality was apparent, and she always had an opinion on the individuals Brylie brought home to meet the family. When Brylie brought home the man she eventually married, Bella approved, and Brylie knew the decision was right.
Bella impacted more than just Brylie and her family. When Bella’s health began to decline, many people reached out to Brylie expressing how special and loved sweet Bella was. Bella was a symbol of love and patience that many individuals could take inspiration from.
To Brylie, Bella was more than just a pet cat. Bella was everything. Bella was a piece of her soul, a part of her foundation, and a light that would shine in her heart and mind forever. She will always be her baby.
Bella passed away June 26, 2026 at 17 years old while surrounded by loved ones. A home-based euthanasia appointment was scheduled so that Bella could pass away in an environment most comfortable to her. While lying on her favorite blanket in Brylie’s lap, Bella passed peacefully and painlessly.
While Bella may be gone from this Earth, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who love her and the moments that remind loved ones of her. Bella will find her eternal rest with a special memorial space in Brylie’s home.
